Today marks yet another broken promise to provide relief to undocumented families in America. President Obama pledged to act on his own by the end of summer.

Today, he completely broke that pledge and now says that he will act before the end of the year. Obviously, he is sensitive to the impact that executive action might have on November elections. But to those who were counting on him just to be true to his word, this is just another broken promise.

I hope that Obama acts decisively after November, or his only major immigration legacy will be to have deported more people than any president in US history.
